Midjourney is a slam dunk for them. They have internal communications of employees warning about infringement possibilities and higher ups responding dismissing the concerns.

A win will also allow them to use that case against OpenAI.

The first set is expected by Oct. 12. Per Comey’s defense counsel, that batch will include motions to dismiss for selective and vindictive prosecution, as well as a motion challenging the legality of Halligan’s appointment as US attorney

It’s incredible that SCOTUS seems to want to open the doors to “people have freedom of speech, even when on the job”. I’m sure their inevitable decision will not be cited as reason for gutting anti discrimination laws………

It appears that the federal agents occupying Portland have people embedded with them charged with the task of producing stories presenting the government’s version of events. Ironically, this was the sort of work JD Vance did in Iraq before he decided he was against that war.
