I would love to do weird double-features, for example, but convincing people to watch a stream without a discord is impossible and I do not ever want to try to talk to people while I watch a movie. I want to watch the movie! I am an old crank, and that is fine!!!

Sometimes I think about how much fun I'd have running a little streaming movie night somewhere, where I can share oddities and fun things other people might like. Maybe someday, if I figure out what would make mine unique amongst the bajillions of bespectacled white guys who stream stuff already.

One of the main reasons I don't post much of my photography anymore is because of bullshit like this. I'm not going to point people to my Bluesky account or encourage them to use the service at all this point. Y'all got me till I have to say "unalive" to get around censors, then I'm out.

I think politicians need to remember that they are wildly unpopular sheltered millionaires who spend elections asking poor folks to do hours of volunteer work on their behalf. I'm not doing anything for someone who can't even be bothered to sign a piece of paper saying i should exist. Fuck off.

I keep thinking about how much better my life could have been if i had known i was trans as a kid.

Then i think about how easy it was for one of Newsom's flacks to say "its passing anyways, don't sign it and veto the trans kids stuff before it touches our numbers."

I am sorry, as someone who actually lives in Chicago, I don't care if it's 400 or 4 or 4000 soldiers or that it's just for "content" it is still an escalation and it pisses me off that you're downplaying the harm they are causing.

(I do occasionally walk in the street when there are tents that take up a lot of sidewalk under the subway bridge, but that just feels polite? I don't want to disturb people who are trying to sleep somewhere safe. They'd be elsewhere if they could. I can make space easy enough.)

I cannot understand people who are frightened of unhoused people. I interact with unhoused people every time i go out in Chicago. They're mostly friendly and cool! They have problems i don't have but that doesn't make them scary or dangerous! Just share the sidewalk, you fascist baby!!!
