I’m meal prepping like mad this year just to feel like I’m keeping control of something, and having a lunch that’s ready to go is amazing. This week it’s gochujang chicken and mozzarella over roasted kabocha squash and broccoli, with radish pickles and a little sweet chili sauce. 🍜🍽️ #Foodsky

Took my kids to get piercings today and after giving my youngest daughter a cute nose stud, our piercer (who is also our longtime hair stylist) said “I’ve always thought your mom needed one too.” My kids totally jumped on board and convinced me. So… new piercing to wrap up my year of new things!

Down past the viewpoint there’s a rock that looks like a Buddha statue if you squint at it the right way. I liked seeing it in silhouette today with the bright sunlight. #BandonBeach

I’m having a quiet Christmas week at my beach and I couldn’t be happier about that.

This morning the wind blew in with cabin-rattling thunder and lightning (far off shore but still enough to boom). It rained heavily and then the clouds blew by and now it’s sunny with a rainbow! What a lovely sampler pack of Oregon weather. Merry Christmas!

It’s absurd here today. Absolute stunner of a day after a rainy cloudy morning.

I’m not at home so no selfie (older pic of kid making pasta instead!) but I have an apple green stand mixer. toph bought it for me the year I was pregnant with my oldest for my first Mothers Day. I love it.

I use it to mix meatloaf and meatballs, sausage etc as well as for baking.
A gleeful kid in a tropical print tank feeds pasta into the linguini cutter of a green stand mixer. Two hands from an unseen adult are waiting to catch the pasta.
