We are trashy Americans so entree is the main course! Either way: I believe a salad can be a whole meal.

Runner up is Matisse, the French restaurant we went to in Victoria BC on our first anniversary. We had one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. And the chef/owner PLIED us with wine for all courses and then gave us a ride back to our B&B after we closed the place down.

Norm’s Garden, a family-run Chinese restaurant in SW Portland. We used to get takeout there at least monthly on our way home on Friday nights. Sesame beef, dry-fried string beans, house special fried rice and lemon chicken. Then we’d eat the leftovers all weekend. Sigh.

I spent a summer volunteering at a radio station in Costa Rica after high school. It was formative in a million ways and also in many ways wasted on a 17yo who didn’t know anything about anything yet.

Just trying to process a sentence like this makes my brain short circuit in rage.

Why should comfort be accompanied by rivers of blood? This is no way to run a corporeal form. Winters are so hard on noses.

Nooooo.

I’m glad you aren’t drowning but what a way to wake up.
