What started as a watercolor exercise ended up becoming closer to making abstract comics. I plan to make more of these and compile them in a zine whenever I feel I've made enough.

My Monstrous Maidens is a blind box as a zine where 1 of 6 monsters can be yours. I've been working on this project for the past 3-ish weeks and I just got it riso printed this weekend. Not to toot my own horn but I think it turned out gorgeous. #comicoop

Ada edging Inge, where she holds them in her lap. Inge is blindfolded and has their hands bound, Ada stimulates their clit and fingers one of their mouths, the tip of a tongue poking out. There is text that points to Ada and reads "Has been at this for over an hour" while Inge says "Ada, please let me, please". The art is then slightly changed showing Ada's hand withdraw from them, their tongue following after and while they kick one of their legs. Inge laments saying "pleaseee I'm so close" while Ada tells them "be patient Inge. It'll feel better if you hold out a little longer". Inge replies back "you keep saying that."

Bug Diaries comic strip - June Beetle. A flashback comic to the artist’s childhood. The young artist is lying in bed with an arm under her pillow. She’s got one eye peaking open and a subtle grin. “One night, when I was little, I thought I'd sneak something past my Mom by hiding it under my pillow.” “Didn’t work.” The artist mom sports and unimpressed expression. With her palm open mom says “Hand it over.” The young artist avoids eye contact and sweatily asks “Hand what over?” The artist relents and places a large June Beetle into her mom’s hand. “It’s my friend.” June Beetle, Subgenus Phyllophaga, Phyllophaga crenulata. “Sorry. No sleepovers tonight.” Says mom as she released the beetle out the bedroom window.

The Grilled zine. Julie's fancy grilled cheese recipes and tips. By certified cheese lover Julie Lerche. Image is of a woman with an apron that reads please do nothing to the cook. Let your grilled cheese rest on a wire rack before cutting (yes, like a steak.) This prevents the bottom from steaming and getting soggy! An underrated step. I cook mine in a nice skillet with a lid on to trap the heat and melt the cheese. If I'm using butter I will melt it in the pan first instead of buttering the bread, this makes the coating more even for grilling! I use an extra large spatula for.... flipping (it's almost as big as a standard piece of bread.) Don't be afraid to use a knife on top for more stability while flipping! I have a bad habit of messing up and then the cheese gets misaligned and it's annoying. It's better be careful while flipping your sandy. Don't be afraid to experiment! I love using different types of honey on top of my sandwiches. It doesn't have to be normal bread either, I love a grilled croissant with honey. It's hard to go wrong with hot honey and cheese. Have fun! Grilled Egg and Cheese, stolen from a Nashville Bagel place. Bread: Rye or Wheat Spread: Olive Oil Cheese: Burrata Extras: Avocado mash and egg of your choice Pairing: Morning coffee A delicious breakfast sandwich, the burrata is super creamy but should be heated separately from the sandwich because it's so wet. Maybe this is more of a melt actually, lol. It's yummy though.
