Winter really makes it clear just how little our cities care about anyone not traveling in a car. People use bike paths and sidewalks year-round!

Finally got to the Holy ground for triathlon here in Kona. Staying on the South side but so cool to see where it all begins leading out to the unforgiving highway. Some cool places to hang out as well.

Six days into my deload on the big Island , Apple fitness has the nerve to let me know I’m doing less. Isn’t that the point of the deload? Until 11/21 , over 13 million steps, over 370 hrs of cycling + strength and mobility work. Why I don’t use Apple, garmin or corps to determine my workouts.

Modern health bro world increasingly seems about optimizing some score that is mostly arbitrary, inaccurate & not tied to anything actually meaningful.

It's the ultimate placebo.

Optimize a meaningless # to make you feel good...unless your score drops, then it's anxiety city!

Give folks the time & space within their daily life to move!

Don't force 2hr commutes just to be under the watchful eye of some mid manager who has to justify his job

Don't micromanage schedules. Let adults be adults!
