Yep, it's been going on ever since capitalists were forced to accept & negotiate with unions. In the US, the "red scare" of the teens & twenties vs the Wobblies was followed by the purging of Left activists from industrial unions in the 1940s, tuning many into "yellow" or complicit unions.

Interestingly, Kuhn's analysis of paradigm change has had more impact in the social "sciences" than in the hard ones, e.g., "classical", "neoclassical" & "neoliberal" economics are recognized by many as different paradigms. All in support of capitalism, of course, from the get-go.😡

Since slavery, thru the abandonment of Reconstruction & Jim Crow into the 30s, when HPL was writing, racism was rampant & he shared it. Recognizing that has nothing to do with "now" but understanding history. BTW I've read everything he wrote that's in print & have a whole shelf of Arkham hardbacks.
