Tokusatsu is at it's best when you can see the effort put into it, the part where human beings made it and put it together, it's theater essentially with all the wonder and joy that theater often sparks.
Being tokupilled means going from "wow these effects are pretty corny" to "this is literally the coolest fucking thing I've ever seen in my life".

Accepting that I'm irrevocably altered by the last year is really making me want to just curl into a ball and never talk to anyone again. My life has always been based around making people happy and helping them be their best selves. What do I do now when my heart is too damaged to find joy in that?
