People are just as able to mobilize revolution while practicing good security culture, if not more so – more sustainably.
Appropriately threat-modeling lets our fear help keep us alive long enough to collectively bring about revolution.

For instance, fear that the feds will use mass protest RSVP lists to target dissenters, is healthy. It doesn't demobilize us to practice ano-/pseudo-nymity; there's a reason burner names are core to anarchist culture – they protect us against against the real tangible threat of state repression.
When we talk about fascists weaponizing fear to gain compliance, let's not be overly reductive and say "fear=bad": some fear keeps us alive, safe, and helps maintain good security culture.
As always in security, we need to be threat-modeling which fears are healthy and which are demobilizing.
