Today at our monthly Quilts of Valor QOV sew day, my son and I were each awarded Quilts. As an extra loving touch, the regional coordinator made a special quilt for my dog.

I don't know how quilters do what the do on the floor. I use tables, or the wall.

Well, I got this far.
I have been absolutely exhausted lately, having trouble sleeping, and waking up tired.
WTH?
I am getting very little of anything done at all. I just want to hibernate. 🤷‍♀️
Hopefully, I get some pinning started tomorrow. Set up for success.

Quilt top ready for the next step.

I've been completely off & tired this week. I had hoped this quilt would be done & washed by tomorrow. I just finished the pillowcase. The top is done, the batting is cut, & the backing is prepped. I still need to prep the binding, sandwich, quilt & bind it. I used 3 FQ to make the case. #quiltsky

Uh oh! So many life distractions lately. I have a baby/toddler quilt I want to deliver Saturday and the blocks are only partially assembled,
😳😬 I haven't decided which fabric to use for the binding, not to mention it needs to be sandwiched and quilted ASAP after I finish the blocks.

Today's quilting adventure was deciding on a block, strip sizes, & pulling together scraps to make a quilt block for a group project. I wanted to do smaller strips in more colors but the math ended up needing 1/6" measurements. I went wider and easier 1/4" instead. I'm happy with it.

Today's quilting adventure was a BOM skills building class with Karen Brown of Just Get It Done Quilts. She does a monthly tutorial and stitch and chat for members of her channel. Today's lesson was about blocks on point. I managed to finish 3 of 5 so far.

The toddler quilt I've been working on is finally finished and delivered! The little lady will be 3 in a few days. She was too shy for a picture.

I'm slowing making time to make progress. The Little one's birthday is in a few days. Next I need to dig through my stash to pick a binding fabric.

New levels came out in PoGo. I went from level 47 to 70 overnight! I am CurieUSGlo21212 in both Pokémon Go and Ingress.

As I cleaned and oiled my sewing machine before sewing today, I realized my bobbin was very low. I won bobbin chicken with 15" of thread left on the bobbin. I also got to start today with a full bobbin because of my maintenance routine.

Hey there quilt folks! I am considering getting a Sew Steady table like the one in the picture to go with my bigger machine that I use to do the quilting and binding. Do you have one, or experience with one? Tell me what you think.

Mostly Welsh. I've experimented a bit. One year I did a different language every month.

Progress!
My Jelly Roll quilt is coming along. I made (35) 10" blocks, 17 going red to blue & 18 going blue to red. I initially did the wrong order for the first row so, I added a row above it & one less closer to the floor. The pattern works & my back is happier. Win win

Our quilt guild had an auction tonight of donated items. It was big because it had donations from 3 estates. I'm sad to lose the quilters, but wow the stuff that was donated. Plus, I'm finding treasures of cool notions tucked in with fabric! One lot was 50yrds of Kaffe! I lost that one. #quiltsky

When your first wind of the day kicks in near midnight what do you do? Stare at the ceiling or piece a few quilt blocks? I chose to finish piecing my Jelly Roll Court House Steps blocks I started a few days ago. All I have left to do is square them, assemble the top, sandwich, quilt, & bind.

Just another reminder that essentially the same thing from the same company at the same address costs more when marketed for arts and crafts vs fishing. The difference? The color and color choices. The dark blue fishing version always seems to be less than any of the ArtBin choices.

My progress today between Lunch and Supper on a Jelly Roll quilt top between the squirrels. I may or may not get more done today.
