Fellow quilters, have you found #quiltsky?
Disabled Veteran, Quilter, Alto & Tenor, retired ACSM RCEP, Clinical Exercise Physiologist, former runner, wife, mother, Bubby, Beginagainer.
I got carded until I turned 50. It was kind of funny. I might test this issue by sending my 30 something son in to shop for me. It would be interesting to see how that goes.

Fortunately, I haven't noticed this. Although, how young is young? I consider myself younger relative to the quilters I've met, but I'm not exactly young at over 50.

To me "U. S. Shipments" means exactly that. It doesn't say anything about alternative shipping methods.

I get out of sorts in crowds these days so I avoid these. There are many who enjoy the special treatment. I'm glad that so many places participate. It does me enough good knowing about it. I hope you find one near you to enjoy.

That's a really cool version of a log cabin. Nice!

This is fabulous! I need this pattern! I have been collecting music themed fabric to make a music quilt.

This was one of my reasons for not considering an electric car back then. Thanks for the reminder.

YouTube is a treasure trove of knowledge for beginning quilters. I recommend Karen Brown, Stacey Lee, and Carolina Moore, plus there are many many more.
Also, if you have a quilt guild near you, check it out. I have found quilt guilds to be full of wonderful mentors. Enjoy!

And, as if I weren't sufficiently annoyed with FedEx before, I had no choice on two critical orders this past summer. Both packages were sent with 2 day delivery at substantial extra cost. One took six days, the other I gave up on them bothering and picked it up at a distribution center on day 4.

Because they are consistently unreliable & a few issues were likely fraud. I've had problems with FedEx multiple times that I have never had with any other carrier. I very intentionally avoid FedEx if I have a choice based on past experiences. Sadly, this summer they managed to remind me why.
