DOGE has created a lot of chaos, but their "results" don't exist. How much are we paying them for faux consultant incompetence?

Destroying large swaths of the federal government makes me realize how little Americans understand about all the things the government does. I am hearing about departments and agencies I've never heard of before. It's easy to convince people it's waste if they have no idea what it is.

Companies who offshore jobs to lower cost labor markets should be heavily taxed to fund UBI. Tech companies are very guilty of this, but it's the entire private equity model and it's harming our economy.

A couple of hopeful thoughts: these firings of massive numbers could have the following impacts:
There will now be many people with time on their hands for resistance efforts of all types.
This, plus the RTO corporate overlord nonsense, should inspire a new labor movement to change everything.

The clean energy angle needs to be focused on how it saves money and builds off the grid self-sufficiency. It creates jobs, if you have good green energy you can power your own home, all other energy costs are going to increase (even hydro). Pivot the discussion from abstract ideas about climate.

Okay bear with me here. I process new hire paperwork as part of my job. If there's only hereditary citizenship (an employee must have parents who are citizens), do I need to ask them for proof of parental citizenship to employ them? How do we process I9s now? #14amendnent
