I don't think everyone cheering for this realizes that once the death penalty sneaks its way into your society as a possibility it doesn't leave. Once you have decided that the state should be allowed to execute other human beings, it will be established as a legitimate option for other people.

I don't think everyone cheering for this realizes that once the death penalty sneaks its way into your society as a possibility it doesn't leave. Once you have decided that the state should be allowed to execute other human beings, it will be established as a legitimate option for other people.

these first two sentences are laughable coming from the governor of the state where the citizens actually burned down a police station in response to police violence

Uma Musume has made me realize just how much I've been unconciously disrespecting animals. I think animals are cool and I don't hate them but I've never thought of them as really being able to have personalities or character quirks. The horse that made me realize this Tanino Gimlet.

I think the big problem with ZZZ is how little unity there is between the design, the world, and the character themself. I don't think the devs even know what type of world they want New Eridu to be. ZZZ feels like it wants to be cyberpunk but without proper societal critique.
