Trump’s dumb trade ideas backfire almost immediately via market reaction.

Unfortunately not every bad idea has the same tight feedback loop.

"This coronavirus belongs to a subgroup of viruses that are classified alongside the one that causes MERS & that can have fatality rates far higher than that of the virus that caused the Covid pandemic." These studies were done in a BSL-2 lab, rather than BSL-4 that airborne lethal viruses require.
NYT: Ralph Baric and Ian Lipkin raise the alarm on new paper where Wuhan Institute of Virology scientists experiment on ANOTHER coronavirus that can infect humans under inadequate biosafety precautions.😫

Well Garmin since you keep asking me to review my purchase of the Edge 1040 bike computer, here it is:

The instability and unpredictability of the 1040's software has been aggravating across updates. E.g. wifi updates to maps never succeed because the device turns off during the 10+ hour download.

I bought the Patagonia M10 rain pants after reading Colin Haley's blog post about their development colinhaley.com/nugget-3-the... ; I have yet to try them in "technical" terrain but they were amazing on a bike ride through freezing rain in Berlin and another hour through town.

Caffeine is the world's most popular psychoactive drug, but no one has any idea how much they're taking. Which is wild. You just don't have a clue, and I'm not sure that's ok. I might be pro coffee, but I can't help but feel that caffeine is due a cultural reckoning.
