Bishop Michael Pham, Pope Leo XIV’s first appointment, and first Vietnamese American to lead an American diocese, is calling on people of faith to stand with immigrants.

He joined immigrants at the San Diego courthouse today in solidarity, and ICE left empty handed.

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

On an AA flight that landed at JFK waiting for a gate. Two littles were crying because of their ear pain on landing. After a couple minutes the flight attendant started singing *Twinkle Twinkle little star’, the entire plane joined in, the kids stopped crying, and this is the world I wanna live in.
