To this end I propose the concept of Death Of The Audience — sometimes an artist must make something purely for themselves. Unburden yourself and find joy in the act of creation. Make your art with the intention of burying it in wet soil and never looking back to see if it sprouts.

When someone in a creative field is outed as a creep, "i never thought that guy had talent" is not a useful response. Its centering you and your aesthetic tastes in a situation where they are completely irrelevant.
