I just got a call from my loan officer that because I had to spend my down payment on rent, I may no longer qualify for my mortgage loan

This is like if every phone company in 1980 insisted that every consumer absolutely had to have a video phone and every investor sunk every cent they had into forcing video phones on consumers and requiring every commercial interaction to use a video phone.

I mean, maybe...if it worked, and people wanted it, and it wasn't doubling or tripling every one's electrical bills even if they didn't use it, and the companies pushing it had any kind of viable revenue plan.
