Hi #PortfolioDay , I'm Karin, a freelance illustrator in the fantasy genre. I paint a lot of things for games and books, but mostly characters, items, and fantasy maps. I also offer pet portraits. Always open for new opportunities!

I agree with you, and I also like working in a larger range/variety, but in the end what's more important is that clients/art directors know exactly what they are getting. I can still post the different style artwork here, I guess!

This map that I drew a while ago was requested in a custom style, not like my other maps. I like how it turned out, but unsure if I should add it to my portfolio as it does not fit. I keep hearing the style of the portfolio should be cohesive.
