A warrior ceremony in ancient Crete

We know so little about religious rituals in Minoan culture that I can't tell you what is happening here. But we can assume that war also played a role in them. Here my task was to imagine what it could've looked like if you were there.

Client: Board & Dice
Ancient Minoan warrior kneeling in front of a woman whose face we don't see. He's bowing his head and ceremoniously handing her a gilded battle axe. She is dressed like royalty and wears jewelry, he's decked out in his battle armor. In the background, soldiers with leather shields and spears stand in a row.

Two kings on a hunt... Each with a different goal

🦌
Two characters from the book Queen Margot, the king of France Charles IX and the king of Navarre Henry. They’re wearing 16th century clothes in a red palette. Both characters are holding their weapon, an arquebus for Charles and a dagger for Henry. Charles smiles lovingly at him, clinging to his arm while Henry’s face is more neutral. They’re looking at each other despite avoiding each other’s eyes. These weapons were used in the book either to threaten (Charles threatened Henry with the arquebus) or to save ( Henry saved Charles’ life with his dagger). Despite everything, Charles is looking for Henry’s affection and loyalty while Henry has views on his throne. They’re definitely not hunting the same thing.

I'm so proud of this one, it was a challenge, crazy angle and all!
In the middle of the night, only lit by the moonlight shining through the curtains of the richly decorated study, there she was. In her thief outfit, red and black, with all the lockpicking tools at the ready in special pockets design just for it, and a few weapons because you never who you might encounter on the job. She's crounching in front of the beautifully ingraved wooden chest about to pick the lock when she think she heard something and is checking behind her...
