"...workplaces need to do something fundamentally different than in the past... The answer may be found in community."

What the future of work can (and ought to) look like is something we discuss a lot in #architecture and #design. This piece from Steelcase outlines it perfectly.

How does #architecture tell a story? Set a tone? Create a mood? It's all in the details. #Design elements like scale, space, and light literally set the scene and communicate so much more than the words spoken or unspoken on the stage. #Oscars2025

This is the resort community of Loreto Bay, Mexico, designed by DPZ. Imagine if we could build beautiful places like this, with parking on the periphery and e-cargo bikes and walking to get around inside. All it takes is to stop banning the option to build like this.

The concept of the walkable neighborhood is simply about designing and building for humans first—creating accessibility and connection. The benefits are enormous. We see it all over Europe, it's time we prioritize it here in the US too.

An ode to the blurry photo. The action shot. The “Wait I was moving!” The “Oops I threw my phone.” Our built environment is our venue for energy, impulse, and momentum. And there’s nothing like the city at night. So, here’s to us and the places that made us. Let’s keep moving.
