The fake summer reading list by @chicago.suntimes.com (where AI made up book titles) is baffling too because just ask a librarian for a summer reading list! We always had suggestions ready. Like is it that hard to reach out and collaborate with an institution that’s all about summer reading??!

This was just posted by @tbretc.bsky.social on another platform. The Chicago Sun-Times obviously gets ChatGPT to write a ‘summer reads’ feature almost entirely made up of real authors but completely fake books. What are we coming to?
