In case you're wondering, the NYU law school has been running the War Powers Resolution Reporting Project at the Reiss Center on Law and Security, since February 2020. Researchers created the first publicly searchable database tracking all presidential 48-hour reports to Congress. 1/4

Asked about the possibility of impeachment, Schumer says "we hope that we can have support from our Republican colleagues to put a brake on this long before it gets that far"

Also while this is important, it’s also important to keep talking about Epstein.

Any Senator or Rep not working on articles of impeachment at this point needs to pull their head out of their ass.

Force the Rs to block it. Make them explicitly for these actions. Then pin them to it.

Also contacting my federal congresscritters today.
Lady you're a goddamn US Senator. You have the power to start drafting articles of impeachment (for the President, Rubio, or Hegseth) or supporting any of your colleagues who might.

(I will be following this with contacting your office)

It is outrageous for a President who is tanking our economy here at home to suggest that the American taxpayer spend a fortune to “run” another country while doing nothing to make life better in America. I opposed the war in Iraq from the outset—and the parallels here are glaring.

One month ago. Pardon one for actual crimes, kidnap another for alleged crimes.

Welcome back to the early 2000s and Iraq. Except they aren’t even trying to veil it in excuses this time.
Trump: "We're going to have our very large United States oil companies go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure and start making money for the country. And we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so."

If you still have old LiveJournal stuff you want to keep for any reason, I'd recommend reading this thread, then exporting/backing it up ASAP.
Okay, I will preface this with the GIGANTIC disclaimer that I promise I know how this looks, and I *swear* this is not personally motivated: If you have an old #LiveJournal account, and it has things you still care about in it, download it or import it to Dreamwidth SOON. Details:

And just a little last bit of fuckery to round out the year: USPS changes how mail gets date stamped.

Sure to mess with all kinds of date-sensitive mail from bills to mail-in-ballots.

If you are an artist still using Twitter to post art, you probably shouldn’t.
For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art

One of the reasons why I go so hard on science misinformation/disinformation, is that as a working scientist it is frustrating to see your research misreported to push an agenda.

For example, consider this piece of right-wing propaganda from The Telegraph that was just published

Games I played and finished in 2025 in alphabetical order:

Axiom Verge
Elden Ring
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Observation
Signalis
Solar Ash
The Stillness of the Wind
The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day

Also played a lot of the usual suspects. It was a good year in playing different games!

I love when unintended things happen in games that rally a community around the thing in silly ways, even from an outsider’s perspective.

Here’s to the Lv 1 .

You may have visited Fight for the Future’s www.badinternetbills.com on a previous go-round of KOSA. One or two KOSA attempts ago, their phone call system wasn’t great. Having used it today, I can confirm that it is now AMAZING. It passed me to my two senators, and then to my house rep. Use it!
