If we lived in the moment folks would be hoping they were okay and meeting them on the beaches with cups of tea and cheery hellos. And also they probably wouldn't be in dinghies or bothering to traipse across the world for safety because world peace. It's a good idea.

If everyone did that we'd have world peace I reckon, like forever and that.

Time is the thing. If I hadn't taken the plunge a while ago after a tiny windfall I dunno if I could justify it now. Glad I did though, there's some beautiful games out there now.

Well I'll be damned, that's a shock!

The most appropriate tribute. Whenever I hear his song "Driving Home For Christmas" I can't help singing "Oh, I really wanna see those fingers".

Presently listening to Judith Butler's Who's Afraid Of Gender so this takes on a pretty powerful meaning in that context, presumably not intended?

I get value out of these things!

I've run through it many times, and the DLC's, the last only this year. I've a notion to do it again after someone told me an early hack that sounds interesting, but I've a bunch of unfinished games waiting for me to act!
December 22, 2025 at 2:34 PM
Yes, I suppose like The Mandalorian. Some things are off, I'm not really following the story because I'm disengaging, when Fallout 4 must be my most played ever PlayStation game. I'm IN.

I suspect most overt racists in Reform would not be proudly racist, they'd deny that they were! Just like they, and MAGA, would deny they're fascists, perhaps because of the stigma of these words. Maybe they prefer to think they're being rational while fascism and racism are all about the feels.

I find that I don't care much for the vault storyline either. Perhaps it would have been more like the games if it were to focus on the completion of a particular mission each week, but with a narrative arc? Go kill some super mutants in a flooded water processing plant or something.

Now we can all see the atrocities and feel more powerless for it. In the old days we could tell ourselves pretty lies.

That's what empires do, they nick other people's stuff.

I watched that on YouTube but the comments had it as a Tiny Tommeh victory. They see what they want to see.

Fear.

Celebrate the birth of the embodiment of God with a crappy jammy Tesco sandwich.
December 20, 2025 at 5:36 PM
Again, that sounds like an appropriate choice and I can imagine this combo working. My beef is with supermarkets shoving cranberries in everything, especially the limited vegetarian options, you know? They replace the things that are available all year with jammy nonsense because Jesus was born.
December 20, 2025 at 5:35 PM
That sounds nice, and appropriate. Those flavours compliment each other.
December 20, 2025 at 5:12 PM
Right, yes, there's an appropriate context, I am fine with that, just not shoved into any old foodstuff in an attempt to pass it off as festive. It doesn't make me happy, it makes me sad, and that's not Christmas!
December 20, 2025 at 5:10 PM
A pox on them!
December 20, 2025 at 5:08 PM
If I get one of those I'm eating it all until I cheese coma. No leftovers, not even the cranberry one.
December 20, 2025 at 4:30 PM
Yeah! The retail sector goes absolutely daft on adding cranberries to everything at Christmas, including supermarket sandwiches. I don't want jam on my savoury snacks at any other time of year, nor do I at Christmas, Tesco!
