We got things like reply-gating and quote detachment cause people were on the GitHub issues and in the comments under the official account like, "hey this would improve my health while using your app".

But it feels like we're long past that era of app development.

- Ability to default search results to "Latest". (I get "Top" search results makes for a platform that appears lively and happenin', but it gives me brain-rot and comparison-rot. Not allowing me to change the default means staff may value portraying an image of site liveliness over user health.)

I like it because people can engage with me and my work in a way that I can't toxically metricate.
It's the engagement convenience-speed-bump of choice on my website, but it can can also be used when I comment-lock on here.

• Not currently a fan of scrolling. It makes me feel disconnected and alienated. (Big fan of RSS feeds, tho.)
• Expect slow on-platform interactions and replies.
• Scheduling what I want to share, monthly.

Platforms have 🔔, but it's more noisy and less organized than RSS in every way…
