I wanna say goodbye to Google Docs for good, tbh. At least with my creative work. I haven't trusted it since people have lost their entire Google Accounts for things a squinting, tipsy, AI bot would think looked like anti-TOS material (though in all those cases, it never was).

#Arisan is full of spirits and souls, but not all of them are of the departed.

Fetches, black hounds, are one such creature.

Fetches Fetches, known to some as Grim Hounds. Fetches are curses incarnate, said to seek hexed and wayward souls. While they do not solely seek out the wretched and woebegone, they are hunters through and through. With innate spiritual powers and resistance to most basic spells, they are as dangerous as they are dogged. The wild Fetches are said to consume souls and use them to fuel their infernal magic. The cursed flames they spew almost as dangerous as their bone-rending fangs and deafening howls. Some adorn themselves in bone as a show of prowess and to assert themselves as leaders among their packs. If the untrained runs afoul of one caution is advised. If it is three or more, retreat is the only hope. A few Pale Riders and others have taken to the task of domesticating these beasts to help them hunt down dangerous and fugitive souls of the departed. While they have learned to take orders, the wild darkness within them cannot be trained away.

A single giant chain off panel leads to this relatively large and isolated arena in the sky. The island itself is relatively big (think the size of a football stadium) while waters are below. Ardan in Nyx’s body is seen while a giant creature is near several felled trees, bigger than most. Two people are shown on the ground near Ardan. Panel 2- The creature is shown with a large mouth, a la Noh Face from Spirited Away, but long like a serpent. The vague impressions of various faces on its sable body while long, reedy limbs reach out. Its tongue may be visible. There could also be mouths on its palm or eye patterns on its body. One hand holds a human arm and is being brought to their mouth. SIN EATER JUST A LITTLE MORE… ALMOST WHOLE. Grace (off panel) Hold still… Panel 3 – Ardan is shown in Nyx’s body with Nyx floating by him. Ardan’s eyes are squarely on the monster, terse, while Nyx is shown looking back at a woman (Grace) tending to another who lost their arm. The creature is implied to have taken it. SFX (off panel. Grisly. It’s eating.) MUNCH MUNCH... Wounded person Agh...wh...why does it hurt so much? Grace Accursed wounds harm flesh and spirit. Stay calm as you can. Wounded person Calm?! That thing took my brother! Panel 4 – Action panel, focus is on stretching limbs. Outreached hands, their mouths open and fingers long and spindly. The creature is reaching out to grab them. Panel 5 – Small close up on Ardan. His eyes focused behind his shades. Panel 6 – Action panel, Ardan is shown cutting the arms in two. Fire trails his blade and the cut off arms turn to smoke. Panel 7 – Mini panel. Juxtapose of Nyx as spirit and Ardan. Nyx is clearly more concerned while Ardan’s determined. Nyx If we kill that thing, then everyone it ate, their souls will disappear, won’t they? Ardan That or they stay cursed and inside … Art of Arisan featuring the reveal of Ardan. Illustrated by Cal Saiyan/ScourgeFrontiers and scripted by myself. Ardan is shown in fiery attire wielding a blazing blade. Real. My world opened when I used my like, noob college-class second-language Japanese to dive into JP art tutorial YouTube via the search bar. There's so many good resources over there.

The side effect is that my vocab is so skewed towards art now, haha aslkdjfhalskdf

oh right my last tip for anyone thinking of using csp to draw comics is that there's a large amount of japanese language tutorials that you can search up and machine translate to great effect. If you go into google translate and translate your query to japanese you can find them easily

The line is by comic artist Marc Silvestri and inker Matt Banning. The original art was completed traditionally. I coloured it digitally using Rebelle for the background and Clip Studio for the characters. The Darkness is coming out of a wall of darkness, surrounded by his Darklings. This is a traditional pencil drawing by Yan_Artcomic, with inks by David A Rivera - I coloured it in Clip Studio, with some minor enhancements in Affinity Photo. The image is of a Xenomorph from Aliens perched on a rocky outcrop. Behind it I added a toxic green cloud environment. Psylocke attacking Nimrod, and Iceman crashes through a window to help. This a sequential page with pencils and inks by Terry and Rachel Dodson. Digital coloring by me with Clip Studio Paint. Scarlet Spider stabs Wolverine in the chest and stands over his body as we lies unconscious on the floor. The other X-Men watch on in horror.

Commission work! Focused on giving the piece a surreal / dreamy look with the cool light and warm toned shadows. My Original character Faust biting into a green apple, it's flesh made of meat and blood. His white strands and pearls highlights the piece. Hugh Dancy as Galahad!
