The character Lotus is holding tarot cards and one includes the character Oscar who is trapped within one of these cards. Text: Demystify by Ren Taylor The first comic page of my pitch packet. Oscar is a detective in disguise, and he's trying to see if Lotus is purposely committing fraud with her psychic readings. Panel 1 - Oscar: "I'm really new to this whole divination thing…but my sister mentioned you helped her a lot! Lotus: "So you wanted to start with a tarot reading?" Panel 2 - Oscar: "I feel like I need a change in my life. I can't stay a barista forever." Panel 3 - Oscar: "But I don't know what my next step should be" Panel 4 - Lotus: "I can sense that, Mr. Dunlap" Panel 5 - Lotus: "Let's Begin. You want to ask the deck a question, so ask it."

Never trust an 'employer' who discourages you from talking to your 'co-workers' even if they are not telling you that explicitly. It is valuable to speak to the people around you about your working conditions, especially if your working conditions are constantly throwing up red flags.

You know, this is an interesting thought.

I feel like a lot of heterosexual dude romantic fantasies are about comfort: not just in a juvenile sense, but largely about feeling accepted and wanted and like they dont have to compete or perform. Relief from patriarchial expectation. Might be a factor?
