I think this resolves the thread and bobbin mess and lets me see it quickly even without a dedicated area for craft stuff. Apparently had to fix some disorganization today.

The OFFICE alcohol / Bourbon has expanded in the living room because a website had misinformation about shrinks (the plastic seals that go on top.)

It’s complicated as to why some plastic packaging parts caused this…. 🫠

If this building catches fire…😅 (I have offsite data backups!!!)

Heads up that I had an issue with “Your Germ card has been disconnected from ATProto (Bluesky).”

Couldn’t get it to “reconnect” so I moved on to “Delete disconnected card” and then couldn’t create a new one …

Until I realized I needed to delete the existing germ text from my bluesky bio.

Ok so it's sorta turned into a few more.

I'm putting together a spreadsheet I will publish (more than this partial screenshot) because there are a LOT of variables and some things I think people will start thinking about if I do.

Today’s random animal spotting is a possum. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in daylight like this. At dusk & at night yes.

They like to hiss at me instead of their stereotype so staying away.

I think everything is confused by this weather. It’s possible that where it was sleeping flooded?

Uhh zippers on today’s boots are NOT waterproof for the places I’m falling through the remaining snow /slush AND I did skating rink style slide before I got to the pond that isn’t usually here.

15 minute “walk” today and I’m done (yesterday I did an hour.) 65°F / 18°C is nice though.

In case you want to see what my brain looks like (not including the accompanying spreadsheets that have some other info I've been collecting):

I will be kicking the tires on a bunch of things hopefully over the next few weeks.

Especially w/ regards to feed builders & Social Media Management tools & alt PDSs. I've already started this process a little bit w/ a Blacksky hosted acct. (Not moving this acct anywhere, just more testing accts.)

I sometimes take photos just because of a precise view.

This really made it look like I was in the middle of nowhere.
February 9, 2026 at 8:40 PM
It’s melting but you can’t tell yet some places.

Had to get out for a hike/walk since it’s been weeks. ASMR of snow crunching?

It’s probably a terrible idea but I seem to be training this squirrel.

Earlier this week it would run away when I opened the door but I left it some nuts in a bowl.

Or the squirrel is training me because today It came to the window & I went out and gave it some nuts (it didn’t run away.)

So this is part of my chaotic mess to switch a single monitor, keyboard and trackball between a raspberry pi and windows machine.

Two types of switches (1 hdmi switch & 1 usb switch) and a hub on the usb one.

This is the kind of chaotic I’m willing to set up sometimes just to not unplug . 😂

Side by side. Yeah I can see it.
February 7, 2026 at 9:14 PM
🤔 I've got to start going to car shows again because I DO love taking photos of cars...
February 7, 2026 at 9:08 PM
Time to sit in the sunlight inside and get stuff done.
February 7, 2026 at 9:00 PM
I have seen the rabbit paw prints in the snow but hadn’t seen the rabbit until now.

Really far away and dark outside but you can see the ears if you look closely.
February 6, 2026 at 7:54 AM
I made it out into the world but some turn lanes are blocked. And there’s no shoulder anywhere either.

Don’t let that snow fool you. It’s solid. And taller than it appears here. I waited to turn instead of risking vehicle damage.

I have a lot of nature photos in what I'm sorting too. So I'll probably share some from time to time. This one is fall 2017.
February 5, 2026 at 2:11 AM
I do remember that I did not stage this photo and I had no idea why there was a mirror there. I did like that the mirror caught the sky. (Still sorting some old photos)
February 4, 2026 at 8:33 PM
Sorting photos again & what in the 2018 was this??? 🤔
February 4, 2026 at 4:50 AM
And this is why I went to the grocery today. We're likely to see more snow & rain. It could be slicker out there again.

Also digital prices in stores is an issue.

I was trying to figure out why I was having a hard time looking at them (because the florescent lights are bad enough) so I took a photo of a section just to look at it later.

Look at this glare. Matte signs people.

Somerset Kentucky - Lake Cumberland at sunset. Another still from a livestream webcam.

(I'm tracking down more state webcams for my weather resource notes.)
February 1, 2026 at 11:43 PM
I saw this raccoon scale the tree in the distance last night.

I went out and found it a bit ago and I can’t tell if it was shivering because I was too close or if it’s cold.
February 1, 2026 at 10:58 PM
I'm creeping on the traffic cams again for weather reasons (these are publicly accessible.) This is one that goes over the Kentucky River and is really scenic. I-64 at the 55.6 MM Direction: Lane closest to camera is Westbound
