So, checked the records back to May. A single session of 47 minutes, all less than 37 otherwise, some as low as 15 minutes, all billed at the full hour per aetna.

Under the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding system, for individual psychotherapy:

<16 minutes = not billable
16–37 minutes (I think that's right) = 90832, a "half-hour" session
38–53 minutes = 90834, a "45–50 minute" session
53+ minutes = 90837, a "60 minute" session
