The Govian education system has to share some of the blame. Since the Tories ditched the every child matters agenda, children's enjoyment of education has been deprioritised over exam success. They come out of a high stakes high pressure system and then collapse.

That debt was accrued deliberately by the companies who owned our water and none of it was to fund better services. Water is one of the absolute stand-out failures of privatisation.
