They’re pretty busy right now, doing Trump’s bidding and rewriting the Constitution
holborne.bsky.social
These people are just straight up criminals. That’s it. Just common criminals.

Here’s video of the incident

Jesus, I just stumbled on r/walkaway and I actually, literally feel sick to my stomach. There are genuinely no words. Well, except “delusional psychopaths,” but that really doesn’t quite convey it.
holborne.bsky.social
At least they make themselves easy to block.

Wait, what AI reaper posts?

“Too”? Was that a slip?

Stand up comedians, by and large, are genuinely vile people. When I was in my 20s, I wound up hanging around with a few of them and there was not a single one I wouldn’t have cheerfully thrown out the window after about ten minutes.

From The Guardian: www.theguardian.com/culture/2025...
Screenshot from article: Comedians performing at the festival's headliners do not seem particularly concerned about the criticism - or the alleged wrongdoing. "One reporter was killed by the government - unfortunate, but not a fucking hill that I'm gonna die on," Jim Jefferies said on Theo Von's podcast in August, arguing it is for the greater good that "freedom-of-speech machines" such as himself bestow their "edgy" material on the kingdom and its subjects. (Since making the comments, Jefferies has since disappeared from the festival's lineup; his representatives did not respond to inquiries about this.)

Distefano, chatting with Halkias, joked that an upside to the kingdom's repression of women is that his fiancee can't come with him. Mark Normand, on the other hand, joked he would bring his wife to show her how good she has it in America: "I want to be like, 'You see? You think I'm an asshole? Well, they'll cut your clit off, bitch?"

Robert Ryan is underappreciated, in my opinion. Great actor.
holborne.bsky.social
s that right? I actually didn’t even know that. I mostly know him from his rants against oligarchs and tech bros, which were on point. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised — it seems like most male comedians lean heavily on misogyny.
holborne.bsky.social
I hope he gets heckled be the whole room at his next show. Fucking hypocrite.
holborne.bsky.social
Yeah, the others, meh, but WTFF Bill Burr?!?

Mohammed Bin Salman is the person responsible how the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. That’s the reference.
holborne.bsky.social
I’m assuming this is meant to be satire?

Someone put me on a “Spammers and scammers” list, apparently because I follow everyone in preparation for springing some giant scam on them? I follow around 1000 people, not that many more than follow me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

God shut the fuck up. They keep losing legal cases, they keep getting no billed by grand juries. SCOTUS isn’t stopping that. Get over your pessimism, you’re complying in advance.
coffeeaddict.bsky.social
Yes but as long as SCOTUS is willing to break the rules for them
Might not matter 🤷‍♀️

You know at a certain point they’re just going to run out of competent people at the DOJ to do anything

This is exactly why it’s so infuriating that @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social refuse to press any advantage they might have.

Trump/MAGA are trying to gaslight us into believing that anti-Jimmy Kimmel America is vast and deep, that MAGA's grip on the culture is unshakable, that mobilization is futile.

But this episode has demonstrated the opposite. Let's not forget it.

Thoughts on this:

No one is afraid of you, Chuck. Everyone, including Trump, thinks you’re a useless old man whose only concerns are that he doesn’t offend his donors or make his lunches in the Senate dining room too awkward. Now how about you stop posting on social media and do something meaningful instead.

So, NYT, I’m curious: is there ever going to be a point where the editors will finally be ashamed of themselves for running blatant horseshit like this? (Yeah, it’s a rhetorical question.)
holborne.bsky.social
Mine doesn’t. She knowingly married a monster and is affirmatively choosing to advance his vile philosophy.

I’m pretty bummed that I had to cancel Hulu because I watched it a lot, but I won’t support any company that caves to fascism, especially one as huge as Disney, which could easily have stood up against it.

Disney Adults have been vilified online for years, but they actually stood up and fought against censorship and gave up something they love in order to do it.

One thing that's absolutely f---ing unbearable on this site is that if you dare to point out that Trump is not actually successfully oppressing all of us on every conceivable front, that not *all* is irretrievably lost, a parade of doomers materializes to denounce you. It's counterproductive. Stop.
gregsargent.bsky.social
As corrupt and appalling as the ouster of this career prosecutor for refusing to prosecute Trump's enemies truly is, I strongly encourage folks to also understand this as evidence that Trump's authoritarian designs are facing serious institutional resistance:
gregsargent.bsky.social
A disorienting moment: Trump is consolidating autocratic power in areas where there's an easy path to do so. But in other areas he's facing deep institutional resistance and people are refusing to abandon the rule of law. Here he's weak and failing.

Thoughts on that:
