I am feeling more and more my grandmother’s family story - disability saved them. She immigrated before WW1 but everyone else stayed. Her grandfather was deaf and had been sent as a youth to school in the city (maybe Vilna). 1/4

As I told @newrepublic.com, "Once last week, twice today, ICE has picked me up and thrown me on the ground. Honestly, it doesn’t compare to what our neighbors who are trapped inside the Broadview processing facility are going through. They’re committing crimes against humanity there."

7 months later and it’s so much worse..AGU is shutting programs and firing people in the equity/diversity space. Claims of “loss of grant funds” don’t always apply…why is AGU pausing the highly successful, very inexpensive Bridge Program?

Soooo…check out how AGU has dramatically reduced people and programs focused on diversity and equity. They “paused” the Bridge program - no good reason since it is very inexpensive

I work for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. We got notification that some of our grants were cancelled.

The grants paid for interns—young Americans who help us do our work, build conservation ethic, and build future employees. They lost their jobs with no notice.

not American, can't vote, but it seems really weird that the Democratic Party isn't just throwing its funding and resources at AOC and supporting her and her ideas—as well as just dumping money into local news organizations—rather than spending millions on a search for a "Joe Rogan for the left"
