Stop demonizing immigrants. Start addressing inequality. Another world is possible. 💚
The scenes on our streets are shameful consequences of decades of austerity - government after government fanning the flames of anti migration instead of tackling inequality.

We can & must make different choices. Solidarity to all communities under attack. We stand together.

Migrants can't answer back.

They have no voice.

So they make the perfect scapegoat for the pent-up rage of the angry, self-loathing far right who can unite around this issue.

In addition it gives the media something to write about in the long summer recess.

That is what is really going on here.

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.

Which political party is going to remind voters we need more immigration not less. Sectors like health & care are in desperate need. That asylum seekers have no safe and legal routes. 80% are genuine and make a vast contribution to the economy. That we can’t get anything done without migrants.

The most important thread you'll read today. In brief: Europe has the power to save Ukraine and slip into the leadership position America has vacated. It must grasp it. And Europeans must pressure their governments to do so.
Ok folks, deep breaths.

There is very real reason to worry about the dynamic emerging between Washington and Moscow when it comes to Ukraine. But there is also very real reason to believe that Ukraine and Europe can create a better outcome.

(A rather long 🧵, obviously)

Working towards a Customs Union will unlock big benefits now. Ripping up the red tape that is holding back British firms and costing our economy billions.

It would be a win-win for our country, and I still can’t understand why the Government continues to rule it out.

🏥 They promised Brexit would fix the NHS.
🚨 Instead, waiting lists are longer, staff are missing, and lives are at risk.

Rejoining the EU 🇪🇺 means bringing back vital healthcare workers and boosting revenues to save our NHS. ❤️

It’s time to #ExitBrexit and rebuild. #SaveTheNHS
