In fourth grade my teacher told me I could become whatever I wanted. So I became unemployable
My home river by my parents’ cabin in the Norwegian mountains. If it has a name, I don’t know it. To me it’s just The River. There’s sheep grazing nearby, fish jumping, birds chirping. The cloudberries are starting to ripen, and the vipers are coming out into the sunshine to warm up their bodies
