This of course leads me to a variant of my favorite game discussion: INTENTION. what's original? The game as it shipped to you the consumer or the game as it existed in the studios proverbial hands?

A few examples: Frame rate & resolution increases are rarely actually "new" it's just that the environment the game had to ship in was lower. Or take Mario Galaxy 1 &2 on Switch 2's new textures which I guarantee aren't new and are just the uncompressed base textures.

When we talk about ports or remasters we often talk about "new" additions when in fact it's sometimes that the addition was the intended version before compression, budget, & time. And that's interesting.

It's weird because sometimes the CG is there to correct plot errors which I don't mind but then other times they just slap those awful space renders all over and it's hideous.

I'm glad a Betterified playthrough is up on the main Vinesauce channel. More people need to check those games out. They're post modern masterpieces. Very much the modern Mario fangame culture equivalent of something like MyHouse.WAD or I Wanna Be the Guy

When a user that normally doesn't interact with your posts does so, I've noticed that they show up not more on feeds that aren't pulled from followings. I thought it was a coincidence at first but now I'm pretty sure it's a feature of some sort.
