I really dislike unsolicited advice.
They repeatedly tell us who they are because they don’t care, and the awful thing is they’re right, they don’t have to care. Still working, still getting published, still getting lauded. Virtually diverse, eh.

If your imagination is so limited that you see elitism in science as the natural order of things, something that can't be helped, if you can't even entertain the idea that this might be a political economic problem, then... I don't know, man, but choose another field and leave us alone in STS

Oh that's spooky, I literally just read the transcript of that via a newsletter email seconds ago. Despite a degree in genetics it turns out I actually had no idea lactose tolerance/persistence *wasnt* mostly genetic, but rather acclimatisation of the microbiome (makes sense).

The idea that the effects of phones and social media on children is so dramatically different than on adults so as to justify interfering with children's freedom to use them but not with adults... I just can't get on board with this. It's the urge to control masquerading as science.
