1/ Matthew Althorpe pled guilty to terrorism charges related to his involvement in both Atomwaffen Division and the Terrorgram collective.

The Crown is recommending his sentence be 20 years.

Sentencing will be in November.

"Plenary authority" is not a term you just use by accident: Miller's been looking for a way to make Trump - and by extension himself as Trump's puppet-master - into an absolute dictator.

It wasn't that he said the quiet part loud, it's that he said the quiet part *early*.

Panel 2 - He then fully stopped talking and just blinked at the camera, as if he realized that he said the quiet part out loud.

Panel 3 - "Plenary Authority" means "Complete power over a particular area with no limitations". It is equivalent to ruling by decree, which is how Mussolini, Stalin or Hitler governed.

Panel 4 - Having "Plenary Authority" over the military would mean that Trump can just use the National Guard as he pleases, no matter what the courts say. It's a power grab.

There's a certain irony in the timing, considering just this afternoon I ran across our local guy in his big white van with US and Canadian flags across the back window, a "Freedom Convoy 2022" bumper sticker and a vinyl decal which states "Only God Can Judge Me."

Himmler liked to recruit a certain type of person into the SS: losers. He looked for men who had achieved little on their own merits, but felt they'd been cheated in some way. Give such mediocrities power and a legal way to enact cruelty and they'll do anything for you. ICE is full of these people.
