Using the DISCO-DJ software, such model universes can be simulated in a few seconds, allowing to rapidly compare many model predictions against measurements from telescopes on the ground and in space, such as the Euclid mission. At the nodes, galaxies, galaxy groups, and massive galaxy clusters take form. Earth Sciences students at #univienna have artificially produced an iron sulphate compound in the laboratory and examined its spectral signal. 🔬
The surprise that followed: this signal matches a spectral signal from #Mars that #NASA has not yet been able to assign to any known #mineral.
