i did NOT watch this of my own free will. there is a WHEEL
this movie fucking blows dude. you know when you see like a Wal-Mart commercial around the holidays and it costs the net worth of a small nation and it sucks? Red One is like that but for a feature-length runtime

wild to go two for two on the Tim Robinson year of White Boy Collapse media. constantly keeping you disarmed and disoriented with layers of intrigue, but ultimately a fascinating and hauntingly true portrait of self-importance in the haze of modern middle management

emergency "something easy and cheesy" movie night pick! unfortunately the really clumsy Americanization followed by the REALLY rough islander stuff were uhh. hurdles. landmark kaiju film but i just never quite settled with it after those first 30 minutes

this one's a yearly tradition for me and this year i'm very grateful to be able to share it with friends! two comedy greats at the height of their power getting put in all kinds of situations. i know it like the back of my hand and yet it can still reel me in

fascinating little dip into the depths of Mario primordial soup. has kind of a weird Rankin-Bass vibe to it that kept things at least a little engaging. huge shout-out to the hard work @kinekovideo.bsky.social put into remastering this thing

perpetually like my fifth favorite Pixar movie to this day, i think? a lot more scattershot than your Monsterses Inc. and your Incredibles, but it's still Pixar near the height of their power. certainly their highest Weird Guy For Just One Scene quotient in a way i find charming

still very obvious that this is an original story pitch retrofitted onto an existing brand, but i think upon rewatch, i made my peace with what this movie is and isn't and enjoyed it a lot more. lovely animation and its own fun angle on the kinder side of superheroics

way too much to say, maybe to the point of a Big Post? fascinating show. i prefer its explorations of how people interact with power more than its endgame biblical allegories, but it sticks the landing. great cast, constant momentum, absolutely see why it's a fan-favorite

suffers from "Superhero Media Where We Can Say Shit And Cock" Syndrome, but i'm really a sucker for this style of narrative game. nothing mindblowingly original but i wound up pretty fond of these characters and their story anyway. would also play call center score attack mode tbh?

always love to see top-shelf stopmotion, and this one embodied the charm of these characters' whole aesthetics really nicely! was not expecting a JRPG aura farmer as a final boss but they made it work pretty well. if you have a rivalry for as long as these two it's ALWAYS gay

on the one hand, its short runtime means there's a lot of potential left untapped in its premise, but... hey, it's movie-original characters i actually like, and a plot that isn't the standard reheated Z leftovers! it's a very different type of fun time

i do think the show has some growing pains as a more traditional Transformers story begins to emerge from its superhero-tinged roots, but it's got such a cavalcade of instantly lovable characters and a killer finale. still very much Good-Ass Transformers

one of those ones where like... yeah man, it's Spinal Tap, it's pretty foundational to a whole little sub-genre of mockumentaries that followed! pretty good! not much else to add to the conversation here

Halloween continues to spill into November! this one never spawned into my family's DVD collection but it's real good. Gomez Addams has strength feats, and i too would do it all for Morticia. great movie to be watching when i heard Mamdani won

one of the quintessential pieces of that early 2010s creator-driven cartoon gold rush. gets in, sets an extraordinarily rich tone, tells a lovely little fable, and then it's gone like a thief in the night. pure distilled platonic ideal of autumn

is it mean to Hellboy to say 'mandate of heaven'? bombastic and beautiful. maybe the big emotional beats are a bit less polished than in the original, but i will literally never complain about a chance to watch del Toro bring such a vivid world to life

solid meathead shonen from a time before The Rock bought his own hype and made movies like Black Adam. if you want movies paced like your friend is telling you about a TTRPG... probably just go watch Honor among Thieves but maybe check this out. The Rock can punch what good
