Christmas lunch is tomorrow so the prep starts now. I've just dried and salted the lamb leg and it's chilling in the fridge. Now making a stock from leek tops, asparagus bottoms, garlic and seaweed. That's going to be used for the pea puree.

Saute some asparagus spears in garlic and plenty of butter. Add a splash of lemon juice and serve on toast with a runny fried egg.

Food discourse is definitely one of the lower stakes forms of posting on here and that makes it special to me. But like anything we experience in our daily lives a significant number of people are going to make it about their other grievances, warranted or not.
