Historian of evolutionary biology and scientific racism who has somehow turned into a historian of the physical sciences. Expect lots of cat pictures and general miscellany. Baltimore.
I'm sorry, but but what the fuck?

Journalism is a great industry to go into if you want to become speedrun becoming a Marxist.
The big tech founder whose 417-foot, $500 million superyacht needs a 256-foot, $75 million superyacht to "shadow" it -- because the bigger yacht lacks a helipad -- had to cut his paper's newsroom almost in half, for reasons
NEWS: The cuts were so severe that at least one department head asked to leave The Post rather than be included in the planning.

Peter Finn, The Post's international editor, requested that he be laid off once he learned about the scope of the cuts to his section.

Steven Pinker and especially Lawrence Krauss appear all over the Jeffrey Epstein Files.

Both are considered friends, had regular meet-ups, often with Craig Venter + Richard Dawkins.

There is so much to go through, but Krauss is most obvious. He discussed his sexual harassment defense with Epstein.

Bezos has the resources to make WaPo into the BEST sports outlet and BEST science outlet and BEST place to get trusted news without feeling any sort of negative financial impact but is happy to turn it into Quillette because he’s lost whatever creative spark he had and turned into a vapid dullard
Video call: WaPo Executive Editor Matt Murray says the paper plans to lay off hundreds of staff, cutting into its local, international, and sports coverage (New York Times)

How many loud back-to-back business calls does a guy on a train have to make before it's legal to throw him out the emergency window exit? Asking for a friend.

I thought Scarlett Johansson was insanely hot in Ghost World when it came out. I was 17 at the time. I no longer think that, because I am now 42 years old and not a pedophile. I wonder why Matty struggles with this, and why the Atlantic decided to publish a literal "actually it's ephebophilia" piece
Yes, @mattyglesias.bsky.social has also argued, in The Atlantic (of course), that older men pursuing sexual relationships with sixteen year olds is not pedophilia.

If the left poured money into media like the right does, we'd get shows and documentaries about people rediscovering why we have things.
This is bonkers. MAHA 'farmers' with ecoli tainted raw milk admit they really don't know how to make the stuff after all.

"Producing raw milk takes careful planning from a facility and infrastructure standpoint. Unfortunately, we learned this after the fact."

Yeah, it brings me zero pleasure to report that not only is Groening mentioned in the Epstein Emails (albeit not alongside any implications of wrongdoing), but the late Virginia Giuffre said she was forced to give him a foot massage on the Lolita Express when she was 16:
