Wouldn't it be a breach of the Representation of People Act to call a hustings in a by-election campaign and only invite two candidates?

It's 2028.

Elon Musk has just tweeted an endorsement of Reinvent GB, the party created to the right of Reimagine England which was a right-wing splinter of Reignite Albion formed because Restore Britain was too woke in its conservative critique of Reform UK.

Starmer somehow still losing to all 5.

Getting some pushback on this. I just don’t accept that the particular type of imperialism/colonialism/racism/nationalism that is current dominant in Israel right now is somehow sui generis to the same everywhere else, and am surprised by the mental gymnastics people apply to argue that it is.
I’ve never had it explained to me why so many people have a special rule when it comes to Israel to suddenly use emit terminology, when for every other nation we’d typically use terms like “ultra-nationalist” or “nativist” which has clearer definitions for most people.
For me this is very simple.

There is widespread, longstanding practice of using "Zionists" as coded slur for Jews, or "Jews I don't like" (regardless how they define themselves).

That is sufficient reason to refrain from broad-brush language such as "Zionism=Racism" or "Zionists not welcome".

Here is an explanation on why Jewish Greens (who obviously don't speak for every single Jewish person in the party, etc) are so opposed to the Zionism is Racism motion brought to the #GreenParty's spring conference.

🎦 MONEY TALKS 🎦

Yesterday, the Government introduced a bill aiming to stop foreign money influencing British elections.

The problem, though, isn't where the super-rich are from, but that money - from here and abroad - can buy access to power and influence.

At least he’ll have time to take a piss now.
The Broomway in Essex is the most dangerous footpath in Britain. It was also once regularly walked by a postman 😱. Only ever walk it with a guide.

Incredible framing of the issue that the electoral register is disproportionately incomplete in urban areas with knock on effects for constituency boundary drawing.
This is a slightly curious way to frame, 'Millions of people are currently not exercising their right to vote, and this is disproportionately an issue in poorer and urban areas.'

Seeing this “electoral reform is radical” refrain from reform groups a lot recently, and I find it interesting. I assume it’s been market tested and that’s why they’re pushing it, but if you want unradical electoral reform, you end up with garbage like AV - which nobody wants.

One of the things people say (it's said a dozen times in the replies and quotes of this) is that when it was made the war wasn't over. But when it was *made* the Nazis were still winning. That's what makes it so magnificent.
You ever stop and think about CASABLANCA? You ever stop and think about "Welcome back to the fight, this time, I know our side will win?" You ever think about a bar full of people defiantly singing La Marseillaise, played by a soundstage full of Jewish refugees? You ever think about CASABLANCA??????

The Serious Vince Cable student loans plan conflicted with the Serious Vince Cable austerity plan and so now graduates get to enjoy permanent debt.
Here's the real reason the government keeps freezing the student loan threshold

The part of the loan that's repaid is classed as an asset on Treasury spreadsheets. But when plan 2 student loans started to be repaid, the percentage received back was less than expected...
