I'm doing a thread of everything I've published this year, but amassing everything I'm struck by how fast the Trump admin moved to wreck the country. I figured that they would move a bit more slowly breaking everything, but no, 2025 was the year of the crowbar and the wrecking ball.

Learning to write simply for yourself is so hard. I struggle to appreciate and to see the value of essays and poems I’ve written that have been rejected for publication. I so dislike my inner fragility. It’s like… I need to find the will to keep working on them, to stop letting go so easily 🍃

AOC: "It is unconscionable that what we are debating right now is legislation that will give 8 senators over $1 million a piece & we're robbing people of their food assistance & healthcare to pay for it. How can we vote to enrich ourselves by stealing from the American people?"

The full weight of western capitalism is about to laser focus on NYC. The robber barons failed to win and will panic. They will sabotage NYC because the system cannot allow Mamdani's term to be successful. They cannot allow people to believe things can be better. Your job now is to hold the line.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.
