Here's Cernunnos, wishing you all a merry Yuletide, however you celebrate!
The name Cernunnos appears in an inscription on a first-century CE Roman pillar from Gaul, associated with a horned figure.

Jane Austen was born 250 years ago today ✨

Our new display, Dancing with Austen, explores how dance shaped her social world and drove the plots of her novels.

Now on display at the Weston Library.

I am a TV journalist so by definition, I watch A LOT OF TV.
I cannot think of a single drama in which this - or anything like this - has happened.
This geezer is just making shit up. And the increasingly laughably self-styled Newspaper of Record is publishing it.

That's why yesterday Green MPs voted in favour of re-joining the Customs Union - as a vital first step.

This is such brilliant archaeology. There's a bit of a persistent story that Britain was somehow culturally separate from europe in the Roman empire when it was so intertwined and connected by people and goods travelling.

Abysmal, mindless, utterly zombified. You can't even call it policymaking because that implies a degree of thought which simply isn't present. Pretty soon they might actually hit Cameron's 'tens of thousands' target and then they'll shit themselves with horror at the consequences.
