People should be up in arms about the closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the destruction of the economy, the arrests of non-criminal immigrants and the increasing banning of books and other information sources in this country. Wake up, folks.

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

This year, we celebrate Black History Month by remembering the sacrifices that so many before us made to advance equality for all, including Thurgood Marshall, & acknowledge that those gains are now under threat. I don't want my appliances to be connected to the internet. I don't want them to have blinky lights or touch screen controls or be accessible by phone. All I want is for them to do the one thing they are supposed to do, and to beep less.
