Frankly, you haven't been able to articulate how this relatively minor decision--almost certainly not the first in which a teacher's demotion for speech was upheld--will have a chilling effect. As you describe, certain speech is already being suppressed by school admins--not bc of the courts

I'm sorry you've had to deal with that, but you're oversimplifying the reasons the court gave. It wasn't just violent language, but a confluence of factors described in detail. Second, neither "cause a distraction" nor "disruption from learning" appear in this decision--I think you're projecting.

I think your position comes from a misunderstanding of how court decisions/case law work. Courts treat everything on a case-by-case basis--that's the point. This was a decision on the facts, not a point of law. It's unlikely to have any sort of broad impact at all
