Who is the nicest or kindest celebrity you ever met? For me it was Wilson Cruz—I met him at a comic book convention and he was incredibly sweet and humored me while I raved about his various important roles and then he gave me a big hug. He smelled amazing, too.

OK, as someone who actually covered the Missouri Legislature when there were a lot of anti-abortion rights Democrats, this strategy does not work.

First of all, the last prominent Missouri Democrat who opposed abortion rights and won a statewide race was Thomas Eagleton. ... In 1980.

I genuinely cannot believe that Ezra Klein said we should run pro-life candidates in Kansas, Ohio, and Missouri; three states that recently held abortion referendums where the pro-choice side won!

Taking political positions that'll make it more likely to win Senate seats in Kansas and Ohio and Missouri. Trying to open your coalition to people you didn't want it open to before. Running pro-life Democrats.
