And another one bites the dust. Not sure we fully appreciate what impact the loss of our local press will have.
South London Press has printed its last issue. Very sad, but not surprising. In later years it only survived thanks to its excellent sports coverage (ironically, in the last week Charlton and the Dons have been promoted and Palace have won the cup!).

But many will remember it fondly, including me.

Elon Musk Critics See Their Reach Vanish on X

When three far-right influencers slammed Musk over visa policies — their views tanked overnight

Musk denies shadowbanning but admitted blocking or muting accounts can “sharply” limit visibility

Critics say it’s targeted suppression, not free speech
They Criticized Musk on X. Then Their Reach Collapsed.

Incredibly hyped to welcome investigative journalist Calum Grewar to the good ship Bell
Calum Grewar joins us from the BBC's Investigations Unit. He's a local and knows Glasgow inside and out.

He says: "Transitioning from the BBC to The Bell is daunting but being part of a small team that’s connected to the city is why I’m on board and raring to go.”

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy
