ULTIMATES 1-8 (and the specials) Camp and chms are really onto something here. The trick of the original Ultimates was bringing the Authority to Marvel with a patina of relevancy. The backbone of this is bringing the horror/lost-wonder sadness of Planetary, but with rock-solid relevancy
