Sadly nobody has figured out how to make new film profiles for this thing so this is what I currently have to work with. The only ones that are still made are Fuji Neopan (AKA Acros) and Kodak TMAX. Normal Gold is still made but not Gold Plus. I've been using the TMAX 100 profile for B&W. Seems okay

We have DX encoded cartridges at home

It was just the power supply and I used some capacitors I pulled from scrap boards and the damn thing works now. Couldn't for the life of me get the windows software to work on XP so I pulled my powermac out and hooooooly crap

Almost all the caps leaked too. Fantastic

I stuck it on my full spectrum camera (Canon 50D). What if it was worse?

Some more fun and crappy lenses: Took a couple addon lenses meant for point and shoots, taped them mouth to mouth (or ass to ass?), and stuck it on my fastest lens

Tried 13 minutes in D76 to see if I could get brighter slides and it looks almost identical to the 2 stop push roll, especially the rebate. I doubt it's overexposed cause I was diligently metering for EI 100. Probably just temperature inconsistency, I think it's time to get a sous vide

Also after the 1st dev I chopped a frame off the end of the roll and stuck it into fixer to see what the 1st dev did. No idea what the hell happened here but most of the remaining images looked a lot like this before the 2nd dev

So, what happens if you push 2 stops in D76 intentionally? First dev time was 23 minutes and I tried my best to shoot at EI 400. There's reduced Dmax as usual but it's shifted red. 1st image isn't projectable IMO but the rest have good enough colors+density to look okay

Test images for the D76 roll, the colors are way better this time. Not the best scans but in person comparing with the other rolls, it's a bit denser but has more dynamic range and is more vivid

Hmmm that did not come out right. It seems like a 2 stop push and it definitely developed some fog because the shadows and rebate are noticeably thinner than the other two rolls. Also, very magenta. Test chart was shot with a flash but I metered for EI 200

Trying to remember how to use fusion 360 to mount my comically small slides

I've been wanting to experiment with/torture some fresh Ektachrome but it's way too expensive in 35mm... so instead I bought a Minolta 16 and 100ft of Ektachrome E100D in 16mm. Here's what it looks like cross processed in ECN-2

Shot a roll of "Fuji" 400 and developed it (sort of) normally just as a point of reference. Decided that I'd go exploring by driving around aimlessly, completely forgetting that I live in purgatory. Then I went home and took pictures of my dog and my chickens. Exciting

For comparison, the same chicken taken with the same camera (Canon 50D) with a red filter. Straight out of the camera but I have a custom white balance set through Magic Lantern. Can't get anywhere close with the stock firmware

Saw a bunny the other day while my chickens were out and about. If you're wondering what the colors are like on digital cameras without any infrared blocking filters (and after setting the white balance), here you go:

Here's the first accidental double exposure I've had so far with my usual film camera (Canon EOS Rebel II) which happened because the battery died right after the shutter closed. When I replaced the battery it remembered where it was in the roll but didn't advance and exposed that frame again

Got some new "Fujifilm" 400 and naturally I reversal processed it. The colors were quite bad so I had some fun playing with color grading

Reversal processed C41 film has such a weird look to it that I kinda love. It took me almost 2 hours to develop this single roll and even more time scanning and color correcting but man it's worth it.

Also since there's no time for this film in D-23 listed on the massive dev chart I developed for 11 minutes at ~65F. The density is fine but I still frequently get a lot of blown highlights that are unrecoverable like this. May need to experiment further
