I’m increasingly of the view that whether media outlets call this a Nazi salute tells you everything you need to know about them.
If they don’t have the courage to say things which can be proven simply by looking at them, how can they be trusted to hold the Trump admin to account on anything else?

All Five Eyes partners need to presume that ALL US government IT systems are now insecure.
Similarly the EU need to treat any data interchange agreements with the US as null and void.
This includes cloud hosting on Azure, AWS and Google (not that anyone uses Google Cloud ;)

Random computers being plugged into federal networks is obviously terrifying in terms of what data they're deliberately accessing, but it's also terrifying because it implies controls are being disabled - unmanaged systems should never have access to this data. Who else has access to those systems?
